General view of the educational structure with devices for electrical energy control and distribution - High-frequency currents generator Angolo dell'aula per esperienze didattiche - Generatore di corrente ad alta frequenza

In the Gabinetto di Fisica there was a structure for educational experimental activity; this structure has been now reconstructed with the original components (see Fig. 89 - 92). Behind the desk is the panel for general electric control and distribution (Società per Impianti e Forniture Elettriche già Minuti & C., Florence, with instruments by Siemens Schuckert). This panel allowed for the control of electrical current within the entire laboratory at various voltages as direct or alternate current. In particular the panel controlled supplies for circuits inserted in the table and the high frequency current generator (Emilio Balzarini, Milano). There was also an electropneumatic device (see Fig. 109 - 110). This structure dates from the first years of the twentieth century, but it is here presented because it appears as a conclusion of the preceeding activities of the nineteenth century rather than as a new educational enterprise. This group of instruments date to the first decade of the twentieth century and it is included in the eighteenth century collection because, from an historical standpoint, it seems to represent a harmonious conclusion to the instructional activity within the sciences of the physics laboratory rather than a twentieth century innovation.
